The LeadershipMatters™  program builds relationships among individuals and organizations to develop, maintain, and mobilize a diverse leadership pool for change.

To accomplish this, LeadershipMatters™ focuses on the following:

Privilege, Power, and Influence

Strategic Communications

Accessing Government

Building Capacity and Leading Groups

Driving Strategic Change Initiatives

Engaging Resistance

Pro-Integrative Strategies

Changing Systems for Good

The LeadershipMatters™  program uses a blended-learning model, combining opening and closing face-to-face residencies and distance learning.

· Experienced instructors facilitate the 9-month program.

· Instructional materials are posted monthly on the LeadershipMatters™ website (accessible only to participants), with additional resources sent via e-mail and provided in printed workbooks.

· Each participant receives their own online workspace in which they can save and share work – a space which can be accessed from public computers safely.

With coaching and support from the facilitators and your peers, you work individually and in regional teams to identify the key challenges facing your community or organization and plan ways to meet these challenges, and to apply your new leading skills. Regular webcasts bring you together with your team for stimulating presentations and discussions of the topic of the month.

Participants are responsible for their own travel costs for opening and closing residency weekends.

When rolled out nationally in 2009, tuition for the program will be $2500 - $3500.
